These terms are an agreement between you and Cartographer ApS, a company registered in Denmark under CVR no. 46298578, where you'll also find our registered details. By creating an account or using Noodle, you accept them. If you don't, don't use Noodle.
How we handle your data is a separate document — the Privacy Policy — and it forms part of this agreement.
We provide Noodle, but we aren't the merchant on your receipt.
Buy tokens inside the iOS app and you're buying from Apple, through your App Store account and under Apple's terms. Apple takes the payment, handles the tax, and controls its own refund process.
Buy tokens on the web and you're buying through Stripe, which acts as merchant of record — Stripe is the seller for that transaction, takes the payment and accounts for any VAT or sales tax due.
Either way, what you get is tokens in your Noodle account, and the terms on this page govern what those tokens are and how you can use them.
You need to be at least 13 to use Noodle. Give us an email address that works, keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into your account. Accounts are for one person — don't share them.
You're responsible for what happens under your account, unless it's the result of something that's our fault.
A token is prepaid access to the metered parts of Noodle. It is not money, not a deposit, not electronic money, and not a stored-value instrument. Tokens have no cash value, can't be exchanged for cash, and can't be sold, gifted or transferred to another account.
New accounts get a one-off grant of free tokens to try Noodle with. That grant is a promotion, not something you've bought — we can change or withdraw it for future signups whenever we like.
Tokens are spent as you use Noodle. Metering happens on our servers: live sessions bill in small increments as you talk, and some features are free today that we may meter later. If we change what something costs, we'll tell you before it takes effect. Because a charge is worked out after a request finishes, a balance can dip slightly below zero — we won't ask you to make that up.
Tokens don't currently expire. If we ever introduce an expiry, it will apply only to tokens bought afterwards, and we'll tell you first.
If you delete your account, any tokens left in it are forfeited. If your balance is negative, we write it off. Deleting is immediate and can't be undone, so spend what you've got first.
Prices are shown before you pay. Token packs bought in the app and on the web are priced separately — the amounts differ, and the price you see at the time is the one that applies.
Tokens are digital content delivered immediately. If you're a consumer in the EU or the UK you'd normally have 14 days to change your mind about a digital purchase, but that right ends once delivery begins. When you buy tokens, you ask us to make them available straight away and you acknowledge that doing so ends your right to withdraw. We'll confirm the purchase by email.
Token purchases are final and we don't offer refunds for tokens you've bought, spent or not. Purchases made in the iOS app are Apple's to refund, under Apple's own policy and at Apple's discretion — we have no control over that.
None of this affects your statutory rights. If Noodle is faulty, doesn't work as described, or we fail to supply what you paid for, you're entitled to a remedy under Danish and EU consumer law, and nothing here limits that.
What we do take seriously is payment reversal. If you charge back a payment with your bank or card issuer, or obtain a refund from Apple, we may remove the tokens that payment bought, suspend or close your account, and decline to serve you in future. If the reversal was a mistake or someone used your card without your knowledge, email us and we'll sort it out rather than penalise you.
Noodle transcribes what you say and generates summaries, questions, threads and prompts from it using an AI model. That output is generated automatically. It can be wrong, incomplete, or confidently mistaken, and you shouldn't rely on it as a record of what you actually said.
Noodle is a tool for thinking out loud. It is not professional advice — not medical, psychological, legal, financial or otherwise — and its personas, including ones that argue back, are prompts for reflection rather than counselling. Noodle is not therapy, not a substitute for a clinician, and not a crisis service. If you're in distress or at risk, please contact your doctor or your local emergency services.
What you record, the transcripts made from it, and the summaries and documents Noodle generates are yours. We don't claim ownership of any of it, and as the Privacy Policy explains, it lives on your device and in your own iCloud rather than on our servers.
The only permission we need is a narrow one: when you use a feature that requires our servers, you're asking us to transmit the text involved and process it so we can return a result to you. That permission exists to run the feature you asked for, lasts as long as it takes to do it, and covers nothing else. We don't use your content to train AI models.
Don't use Noodle to do anything illegal, and specifically don't:
We'll try to keep Noodle running and working well, but we don't promise it will always be available or uninterrupted. Features get added, changed and sometimes removed. If we make a change that materially reduces what you can do with tokens you've already bought, we'll tell you and do something fair about it.
Parts of Noodle depend on Apple's platform and on services we don't control. Where those change or fail, our obligations to you are limited by what they make possible.
You can stop using Noodle at any time, and delete your account from Settings in the app or from the web dashboard.
We can suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if we're required to, or if you reverse a payment as described above. Unless the law says otherwise, tokens are forfeited when an account closes. If we close your account for a reason that isn't your fault, we'll refund the value of unspent tokens.
We provide Noodle with reasonable skill and care. Beyond that, and beyond what the law gives you, we don't make guarantees — in particular we don't warrant that AI output will be accurate, that transcription will be correct, or that Noodle will suit a particular purpose you have in mind.
We're liable to you for loss we cause by breaking this agreement or by failing to use reasonable skill and care, but not for loss that wasn't foreseeable, and not for business losses — lost profits, lost opportunities or lost data used for business purposes. Where we are liable, the total we owe you is capped at the greater of what you paid us in the twelve months before the problem arose, or €100.
Your rights as a consumer under Danish and EU law sit on top of this agreement and aren't cut down by it.
This agreement is between you and us. Apple isn't a party to it. Apple has no obligation to provide support for Noodle, and no responsibility for the app, its content, or any claim that it infringes someone's rights or fails to meet a legal requirement — those are ours to deal with. If the app doesn't conform to any warranty, you can ask Apple to refund the purchase price, and beyond that Apple has no warranty obligation.
You confirm you aren't in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as terrorist-supporting, and that you're not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
Danish law governs this agreement, and the Danish courts have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer, that doesn't take away the protections of the law where you live, or your right to bring a claim there.
If something's gone wrong, email support@joinnoodle.com first — most things are quicker to fix that way. If we can't resolve it, consumers in Denmark can take a complaint to Center for Klageløsning and, from there, the Danish Consumer Complaints Board (Forbrugerklagenævnet) at forbrug.dk.
We may update these terms as Noodle changes. If an update matters to you, we'll tell you by email before it takes effect. Carrying on using Noodle afterwards means you accept the new version; if you'd rather not, you can stop and delete your account. If one part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
